CNY

I used to love Chinese New Year....the goodies, bah kwa, card games, and above all, ang baos!! Now, having gotten married, no more getting ang baos, instead, it's the other way round, giving them. Mind you, it's not cheap. Anyway, it's all for the fun of the festivities.

I remembered I used to hate red, it's so or-bit (aka ugly), very cheena and so old, especially to be wearing during CNY. But as I grew older, I grew to love it, my place is full of splashes of reds and orange now. Also remember grandma bring out our gold necklaces, bangles to be worn during CNY...so festive! But gold is no longer the in thing for young adults (ok, I still consider myself one ok!). I guess I'll probably sing a different tune when i'm older...like in my forties or fifties...

Anyway, one more week to CNY, yippie! Gonna goorge myself with bah kwa and sugee cakes and long gan tea! slurp!
